A premier Midwest destination, Galena/Jo Daviess County CVB needed to broaden its reach to increase seasonal visits while providing its local stakeholders maximum exposure. Not only did they need a website redesign, they needed a plan that allowed for scalable growth.

New Website Design

The Galena/Jo Daviess County CVB website was designed to provide not only an engaging visitor experience, but also to provide enhanced features for local businesses and staff.


New website features include increased searchability, an interactive calendar interface, a visitor guide request platform, live chat and new social media integration capabilities. In addition, the creation of a blog helped connect and speak to visitors in a way in which the town previously could not.


The user and search-friendly platform yielded an increase of website visitors and engagement by over 100%.

Marketing Efforts

The strategies included heavy content marketing combined with social media promotions, paid search campaigns as well as contests and giveaways. Efforts resulted in over a 100% increase in new organic visitors to the website, over 100% increase in social media presence and a 178% increase in social media engagement.
